Service to women in situations of violence and the participatory construction of a social work protocol

Respective article investigates and evaluates the assistance to women in cases of violence, whether verbal, physical, sexual, among others, based on Law n. 11,340, August 7, 2006, presenting doctrines and studies that address the subject. Law 11.340/2006 seeks to protect women who suffer or have suffered from violence at some point in their lives, who cannot find ways out so that they could live a normal life, without emotional scars. In the first section, the concept of violence against women is discussed, to then understand women's rights and guarantees, with a detailed approach to the Maria da Penha Law and, finally, it is necessary to mention the shelters for women victims of violence, that is, women with precarious living situations and who have not found another way to leave their homes without the pain of losing material goods. The methodology used in the scientific article is qualitative with a deductive method of approach, based on doctrinal and social knowledge until completing the study in an objective and clear way. All available support from public policies is considered necessary to make the protection of women in Brazil effective and efficient.
