Abstract

This text focuses on the Famalicão Made IN iniciative, created by the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, in northern Portugal, with the purpose of promoting partnerships for the municipality's development. Based on theoretical discussions on the relevance of regional partnerships, it is intended to describe the genesis of the current Famalicão Made IN structure, identify its main roles on the perspective of the county's companies and characterize some of its main challenges in the near future. The text considers information collected through interviews with 4 promoters and managers of Famalicão Made IN and 16 companies in the same geographical area and information, of an ethnographic nature, collected in the context of the project "Employment of Proximity" that was developed by Famalicão Made IN during the year 2019.
