Abstract

From the experiences in the teaching and learning process of Geography at school, it is clear that due to the growing transformation in the face of new social and technological demands, there is a need to make learning more dynamic and meaningful. Therefore, there is a need to incorporate new languages into Geography facilitating the understanding of spatial categories and making teaching practices more accessible and attractive. In this context, the central theme that guides this article is based on the production of videos in the context of Geography teaching and as a tool that has a very enriching potential, capable of expanding the understanding, perception and reading of spaces close to students. As this is the first part of a research project, the article aims to establish recognition of the theme through bibliographic research, providing more information on the subject and serving as a basis for future discussions and new approaches to the proposed theme.

Key words: teaching geography; video production; geography teaching methodology.
